About me
I am a Golden Apple Scholar of 2016. This experience has shown me that I am extremely passionate about teaching in alternative and rural settings. I graduated Illinois State University in December of 2020 to become a Special Education: Learning and Behavior Specialist.
At ISU, I was the captain of the women's rugby team. I have also been a part of the Illinois Collegiate All Stars rugby team. You could say it is a huge passion of mine! I hope to one day coach a team at the school I work at.
I am originally from the Chicago suburbs but recently, my family has relocated to Jacksonville, North Carolina. I come from a big family of three brothers and two sisters. I am the youngest. I have five nephews and four nieces between them. All of my siblings have an emotional/behavioral disorder which is where I get my passion for working with this population. Growing up with them wasn't easy, but through it, I found my calling.
